The infinite loop of death woven by the NRA

Why the United States Constitution was written by people who'd be extremely bad at programming...

Yes, you know the 2nd Amendment. And you probably know that it amends some unsettled issues that people didn't like about the defining and assigned roles of the militias in the eighth section of the first article of the constitution. But what they set into motion is what's potentially an infinite loop, and it's certainly resulted in one when we fight over this stupidly worded bunch of bullshit.

You see, the 2nd Amendment amends the idea that the militia is given absolute powers by insisting that it must be well regulated, and then sets people in line to do so by saying they must not be infringed the right to arms. Yeah, that's right. It actually thinks you and I are supposed to fight the army to keep it in line. Are you willing to do that?

But here's what Article 1 Section 8 insists the militia's purpose is: "To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;" ...in other words, it must suppress insurrection. What's an insurrection? People fighting against their own government. So what it did is set people to fight the army and the army to fight against the people who fight the army.

Are you following this? These definitions are based on the interpretations of the gun nuts who insist that this is what the 2nd Amendment means, and so they have made the constitution one that was going to doom us anyway. If they're right, they're still defending something stupidly wrong and utterly preposterous. Thankfully that's not the only way to interpret it, nor was it the way it was interpreted before the NRA pushed their interpretation onto the people.

It's outdated and a badly written bunch of bullshit that needs to be redone.

Seems to me that guns need to be taken away from all these crazy motherfuckers.
